If as a kid you could manage the "pat your head and rub your belly" trick, then you should be able to handle this method. With one hand stroke the shaft of your penis while with the other hand you rub the tip in a circular motion. It can be a little tricky to get going, but once you do you should find the experience worth it. See Tip Tracing for a slightly different variation.

An advanced version of Tap Tap Tap, use all four of your fingers and drum them across the front of your penis. You can either leave your thumb free so your penis rests against your stomach, or you can use your thumb to brace the back of the penis or perhaps even push it forward somewhat, which can be an added source of arousal for some guys. If you're dexterous enough, you can alternate the drumming sequence between going up or down. I'm not quite that good and can only drum effectively in one direction, but I can do it pretty quickly.
